We stayed Saturday and Sunday nights in Lyon. I'd like to go back. It's a nice town to walk around, the food is excellent and I wouldn't mind visiting the Musée des Beaux Arts again.
I loved this painting: Une noce chez le photographe, 1879. Do you have an uncle like this? This is a detail of a photographer's studio and the artist (Pascal Dagnan-Bouveret) has really captured a moment in time, just like the new science of photography would do. Do a search for the title and you can see the whole painting. Very Norman Rockwell.
There is a trip report here.
