Our travel guide says this is "one of the most elegant streets in Berlin".

We went to the Käthe Kollwitz Museum on Fasanenstrasse. Her work was pretty miserable, I have to say. Lots of weeping going on. Mother and child illustrations.

Kollwitz did loads of self-portraits. Only one of them featured a smile and that's the one that appeared on the cover of the museum's brochure.

Kurfürstendamm was the main drag and we had an excellent bratwurst and pilsner in a beerhall there.
